Merry Christmas to All!

No baby updates these days, just a husband-update. Jesse got a pretty bad cold, after having his wisdom teeth removed – double whammy! – and this morning I left him in bed to recover. We’re looking forward to our last Christmas Eve at the rotunda on the beach (with Ocean Hills, our church) that will be “just us” (and maybe 1,000 others) – so I hope he recovers enough for us to attend. If not, we’ll heal more so that we can join the rest of the Smith/Adams’ family up in San Luis Obispo tomorrow for the big day.

A sidenote – we are house-sitting right now for a family with three dogs (and child – but they took him with them). We are reminding ourselves why we only have two dogs. While we love animals, five of them in one small home is a little much, even when you love them all! So, please remind us this if we ever again go to get another puppy (while Lucy and Mok are still around at least)!

For everyone that we won’t see – Merry Christmas. I pray one of my favorite blessings, especially in this new year: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
