Me: Selah, let’s make a thank you painting for Miss Melody since tomorrow is her last day of school.
Selah: OK, Mommy.
Me: What should we paint?
Selah: Miss Melody and “A-Rock-O-Mama”
Me: Miss Melody and Barack Obama?
Selah: Mmm-hmm. A-Rock-O-Mama.
Of course – why wouldn’t my just-turned-3 year old want to paint a pic of her preschool teacher and the President? Duh. Silly Mama, I should have known.
