For as much as I’ve tried to avoid Fiesta for the past umpteen years, this year sure was a success with Selah. She loved everything about it from the Mission to the bull riding to the parades (horse parade & children’s parade) to De La Guerra plaza to Fiesta del Norte (McKenzie park complete with terrible bands & dirty/unsafe rides). It was a bit overwhelming for us – on the senses and on the pocketbook – but hey, fun to see her smile and enjoy every minute.
Crashy was a little young for it this year, but he’s always game for tagging along (what choice does the poor kid have with this bunch!), and he seemed to tolerate the confetti egg smashing right up there with the best of ’em!
Here’s some documenting courtesy mostly of our personal family photographer, Hannah 😉
Also, one video of Selah on the traditional janky yellow slide – a fair staple brought to you since…well…since fairs were invented probably:

And to top off the weekend, Mommy & Daddy even cleaned up for a date night! That’s a rarity!
We even splurged on craft ice cream after! ;). I took a picture of the slogan because every time I read it, it reminds me of my Grandpa:
I think he might have passed his love of ice cream on to me…and in turn I gifted it to Selah as well (you can thank me later, honey). Since I was thinking of him, and it was also my mom’s birthday today, Selah and I topped off our Fiesta with a Yogurtland date!
