Before Hawaii pics go up, I need to finish my procrastination and post my official goodbye pics from what is the saddest and happiest thing that’s happened in our family this year – Hannah! So blessed and happy she’s been with us so long…and so sad she’s leaving. Or, well, left…it just seemed like a false move-out with her joining us in Hawaii and all…but it’s real now (she moved home to Colorado the end of August) and it’s setting in now that we’re back.
She was (& is – I mean, she’ll continue to be part of our family of course!) a lot of things to us. A great nanny is just the most obvious. But to me, she was a workout buddy, a best friend, and a huge help with the kids. What a blessing to leave for work knowing she was there for them and for us. She is one of the funniest, most fun, joyful, lively, helpful, honest, energetic, and genuine people I know. And she loves my kids like they’re her family, which is of course the greatest gift one can give.
So, thanks, Hannah. Love you mucho.
Here’s a few little pics of the fun we had your last week(s) here.
A little Westmont pool action:
Hiking Parma (near our house) with the kiddos. Love Ashy’s face in these. Classic fussy pants:
And a few from our favorite place to hang out – the track! On more than one occasion, Selah has informed us that when she grows up, she will “do track like Hannah”…and I don’t doubt it actually. For not wanting to walk anywhere (like, ever), that girl sure will run at the track with Hannah! Probably did 1.5 miles a few times with us even! And Asher is pretty sharp in his sweet track suit. I’ll miss those track trips with Hannah (& her energy in running the kiddos around endlessly!):
And rock climbing! We would have never tried that and it’s a Selah-favorite now!
And who could forget the doggies. Hannah’s been their biggest fan and supporter the whole time she’s been here for both Mok and Lucy. They arguably will miss her the most of all of us (I’m giving them a run for their money). Here’s a few on moving day of all of us:
We’ll miss you Miss Hannah. You’re our favorite fifth Wheel. And always will be family in our hearts:
