This could be Selah’s favorite night of the year (I only say “could be” because I think Christmas Eve takes it, but this is a debatable second which is really saying something!). I think for Daddy it may come in at the number one spot. This is far too many pictures but I just couldn’t stop:
Selah wanted me to “fishtail braid” her hair like Hannah, so I took delight in the one time she actually willingly let’s me do her hair!
Them leaving was about the sweetest thing ever – I even got teary eyed at how grown up my girl is:
Oh, and she still obliged when I asked them to make silly faces!
My little date on the other hand was pretty tired tonight. Long week for Mr. Crash. Here he is stuffing about six fish sticks into his mouth at dinner:
Sporting a colander hat in the bath:
And a close up in my attempt to show how his little injury is now drifting to the black eye stage…
Additionally, not sure if you can spot it in the above picture, but he also clocked my pretty good with a LeapPad this evening. He was frustrated and threw it right as I was turning to grab it, and my lower eye area unfortunately caught a pretty fierce blow that actually split open the skin. I actually considered going to have someone put a stitch in it (it’s pretty deep and I really don’t want a scar on my face right there), but a Friday evening being stitched up with an extremely tired almost 2 year old in tow sounds more tortuous than going through life with a scar under my eye. Pictures don’t quite catch it, but give the general idea:
But we salvaged the night with some cuddling and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse before he passed out. Next year we’ll join the mother/son bowling night. 😉👌
I just can’t get over my little beauty & her Daddy tonight. If you could freeze time, this would be one of those moments:
Oh! One more…Selah drew this in the afternoon in anticipation of her “date”. I’m sure you can tell 😉 but this is Daddy taking her to the dance:
We’re so blessed. Can’t wait to see our little Valentine’s faces in the morning!
Heart melted ❤️
